Sponsors, members, friends, guests -

There is no doubt that 2020 looked a little different to us all - we know that 2021 is likely to look the same. The Lafayette Breakfast Optimist Club is sad to say the same is true for the 2021 Fat Tuesday Dinner Party. Current state and federal health guidance and guidelines heavily impact our ability to host an in-person event that would not jeopardize the health of our guests, our friends, and the families and communities of those involved. However, we do not believe that means we cannot still come together and do something great for the teachers and students in the Lafayette area; we hope you think so too.

That is why this year, until March 31, 2021, in lieu of our normal festivities, we are hosting a "No-Party-Mardi" Gras - a virtual giving campaign in support of our Teacher Grant Program (which you can read about here) sponsored by our 2021 "King of Mardi Gras" Bob Rohrman Subaru. This campaign does not come with a virtual band, virtual balloon wall, virtual dinner, or virtual auction, but we hope that your participation can still give you some fulfillment through helping us help Lafayette youth. For the campaign, we ask that each attendee donate the typical cost of their Fat Tuesday Dinner ticket ($50.00). You are also welcome to donate more or less than that as well - every dollar is appreciated.

Donations of all types can be made in any of the following ways:
  • Cash/Check - Mail your donation to: PO Box 1064, Lafayette, IN 47902-1064
  • Credit Card (one-time or monthly recurring) - Via our Square Giving Campaign Link
  • Sponsorship in another way - Contact fat-tuesday@lafayetteoptimist.org
All donations are tax deductible.

Thank you for your consideration. While we cannot meet this year, we hope that things will be back to normal next year.

Be safe - stay optimistic,
Your Lafayette Breakfast Optimist Club
